A Study on English Translation of the Names of Scenic Spots from the Perspective of Relevance Theory Abstract With the furthering of the Chinese reform and opening-up policy, and China successfully held the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, also with the coming of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, more and more foreign people will come to visit China. The translation of the names of scenic spots is very important in tourism translation. A good translation of a certain tourist’s attraction’s title could give foreign guests a good impression as well as arouse their interests on the spot.
