Key words: Culture differences, translation, language The influences of Cultural Differences in Language Translation Introduction Language is the product of?the existence of society .Because of different history、habits、and natural environment in different nations which lead to different cultures. Because of different culture backgrounds, the meaning of languages and the?understanding of objective things are quite different.?And because of conceptual differences, the values?beliefs, moral concepts and?contraindication of languages are all different.?These differences made language translation very complicate and difficult. Have a good understanding of these differences is quite essential for our language translation. English and Chinese are two kinds of different languages which based on different cultures,?only when we know the different cultures of two languages can we translate the two languages very well. I. What leads to cultural differences？ The cultures of the East and the West?differ from each other in a lot of aspects. The reason is that the cultural systems are two separate systems in general. The origin of the eastern cultures is mainly come from two countries: China and India. Both of the two cultures are gestated by rivers. In China, the mother river is the Yellow River while the Indian one is the Hindu River. These two cultures have developed for several thousand years and formed their own characteristics.
