Unit 3 Why do you like koalas? Section B 石槽中学 李静 Hello, everyone! I’m very glad to have an opportunity to talk about some of my teaching ideas here. I’m going to talk about—Why do you like koalas? It is from Go for it (Book1B)Unit 3Section B. 1. Teaching material:(教学内容分析) 本单元主要是让学生学习我们常见动物的名称和学习用一些简单的形容词来描述动物,学会运用why, what, where引导的问句来表达个人对动物的喜好,了解动物的外形、生活习性及主要产地,并能运用英语简单地描述自己喜欢的动物,培养和激发学生热爱动物、保护动物、维护生态平衡的思想感情。 2. Something about the students:(学生分析) 学生通过一个多学期的英语学习,他们已具备了初步的语言表达能力,能用所学的语言知识谈论自己的喜好,但是,本单元的词汇量非常大,学生一时会很难适应,所以我们教师在充分了解学生的基础上因材施教,以防止两极分化现象的出现。 3. Teaching aims:(教学目标) a) Knowledge objectives:(知识目标) To learn the key vocabulary “ ugly, friendly, shy, beautiful and other” in this period, the target language in this period ----- What animals do you like? I like elephants. They are cute. What other animals do you like? I like dogs, too. Why? Because they’re friendly and clever. b) Ability objectives:(能力目标) To train the students’ listening skill and communicative language. c)Emotional objectives:(情感目标) Some animals are able to work for human. And animals are our friends. We must protect them and look after them. 4.Teaching key points:(教学重点) Key vocabulary:ugly, friendly, shy, beautiful and other Target language. 5.Teaching difficulties:(教学难点) Listen and circle the description words in coversations. Use of knowledge with them about animal topic for the simple communication. 6.Teaching aids:(教具) Some animal pictures. A tape recorder. 7.Teaching methods: (教学方法) a)Double activities teaching method b)Watch-and –listen method c)Pair work method d)Question-and answer activity teaching method 8.Teaching procedures:(教学过程) Step1 Revision (Review the animals learnt by a competition and asking students questions.) Teacher: .How many animals can you see in the scream ? What are they? Competition :What animals do you know in the world? What animals eat grass? What animals eat leaves? What animals eat meat? Step2
