[abstract] objective to observe rosemary acid to 1? Methyl? 4? The protective effect of phenylpyridine cation (MPP +) on mes 23.5 cell damage. Methods four methyl azazole salt (MTT) detection method was used to observe the protective effect of the isostonic acid of different concentrations on the MPP + treated mes 23.5 cells. Results the non-toxic effect of rosemary acid on mes 23.5 cells (f = 0.581, p 0.05) was found in the results of 10-9 ~ 10-6 mol/l. MPP + of 200 mu mol/l can reduce the cell survival rate (f = 44.863, p 0.01), and the survival rate (p 0.01) can be significantly improved after using the preincubation cells of rosemary acid with 10-9 ~ 10-6 mol/l. Conclusion rosemary acid can antagonize MPP + and has a certain neuroprotective effect on the toxicity of mes 23.5 cells.
