It argues that boththeories actually use a cognitive perspective in their study of particular phenomena; both lay special emphasis on the sub??personal system and set outto generalize abstract principles so as to explain those phenomena at the surface level. Also, highlighted is the principle of economy which plays a crucial role in both theories. This comparative study offers a new perspective for the current reflections on the criticisms of RT, and makes it possible to better reveal its problems and propose better solutions. ?? 　　Key words： Relevance Theory ; Chomskyan Linguistics; similarities; reflection?? 　　?? 　　1 引论?? 　　作为语用学领域中的重要学派, Sperber和Wilson创立的关联理论(relevance theory)自诞生以来产生了广泛、深远的影响。作为全新的语用学理论，关联理论不仅被应用阐释言语交际（如Sperber and Wilson, 1986, 1995; Wilson and Sperber, 2004; Carston, 2002），也被应用于其他领域，如外语教学（如Cohen, 2000；Zegarac, 2004；Pavia and Cohen 2004）、修辞研究（如Wilson, 2006）、语篇分析（如Blakemore, 2002等）以及翻译研究（如Gutt, 1991）等。 ?? 　　该理论提出了新的语言交际观，对 Grice 的合作原则作出了修正和发展。更为重要的是，该理论将认知视野带入语言交际理论的研究，为“认知语用学”的发展奠定了基础（何自然等，1998）。自从关联理论问世尤其是Sperber和Wilson（1986/1995）的著作Relevance :Communication and Cognition 出版以来（早在该著作出版之前，关联理论的相关内容已经问世，如Wilson,1975），学者们纷纷对其作出评价。拥护者有之，甚至以关联理论为理论框架推出新的语用学著作（如Blakemore,1992,2002； Carston, 2002），而批评者也不乏其人（如Levinson, 1989; 黄衍，2001，Mey, 2001等）。?? 　　文献中将关联理论与其他理论进行比较研究一般是在功能主义的框架内进行的。在语用学界，学者一般会将关联理论与Grice以及新Grice语用学理论进行比较（如Sperber and Wilson, 1995；Levinson, 1989；黄衍，2007）。随着认知语言学的崛起，一些学者开始将关联理论与同属功能主
