Abstract: under the new curriculum standard, along with the development of modern educational technology, how to use CAI to integrate junior high school geography teaching, especially in the vast rural areas, has broad prospects. This paper discusses how to use multimedia in class, how to arouse students interest in learning, how to use multimedia in class, how to train students ability, how to use multimedia in class and how to optimize classroom teaching in three aspects.

Through the use of our school and the development of multiple geographic courseware practice, multimedia is able to quickly be applied in education is its advantages and the development of educational modernization inseparable; at the same time, because of Geography under the new curriculums characteristic, make use of multimedia aided teaching is to promote the reform in geography teaching to improve the quality of education, teaching, an important means for the implementation of quality education, has opened up new horizons for geography education under the new curriculum.
