（1）表示从过去某一时间看过去将来要发生的动作或存在的状态。常用于主句是一般过去时的宾语从句中，或过去语境中的将来行为。常与过去将来时连用的时间状语有twodays（weeks，months...）later，thefollowingday，thenextweek（month，year...）等。

Shesaidshewouldbethereatseveno’clock，andhethoughtshewouldkeepherword.

她说她会在7点到达，他认为她会履行诺言。

（2）表示过去的某种习惯性行为。

Shewouldlosethekey.她总会把钥匙弄丢。

Hewouldsitforhoursdoingnothing.

他常常什么都不做，一坐就是几个小时。;Activity2;Activity2;Iwasgoingtohuntforfood,butmykneewaswounded.

（1）woulddo…表示在过去某个时候看未来将要发生的事情，常用于宾语从句，或过去语境中的将来行为；也可用来表示过去的某种习惯性行为.(可参照一般现在时来理解)

（2）was/weregoingtodo表示过去的打算和意图；

Nooneknewwhenhewasgoingtocome.

Shesaidshewasgoingtostartoffatonce.她说她打算立即出发。

Iwastoldthathewasgoingtoreturnhome.有人告诉我他准备回家。

（3）was/wereabouttodo表示过去正要，即将要发生的事，侧重动作的迫近性；不可和tomorrow等连用。

Thebuswasabouttostart.公共汽车就要出发了。

Colinwasabouttogetoffthecamelwhenachildrantowardshim.

科林正要下骆驼时，一个孩子朝他跑过来。;（4）was/weretodo通常指过去的计划安排或在过去看以后注定要发生的事情；

Hesaidhewastoarrangehisholidaywithhisolderbrotherinaweek.他说他将在一周内安排和他哥哥一起度假。

（5）表示位置移动的动词（如go，come，leave，start等）可用过去进行时，表示按照过去的计划安排在过去将要发生的事情。该用法应有明确的将来提示。

Hesaidthetrainwasleavingatsixthenextmorning.

(6)条件状语从句和时间状语从句中要用一般过去时代替过去将来时。
