So, what is a speech ? Definition All in all, speech is a two-way flow of information. Only when the speech fits the needs of listeners and can express the publics benefits, can the speech realizes its own value. 3.Good presentation skills Appropriate contents and expressions of the topic that you are going to convey 4. Good environment For the orator, a quiet and comfortable place is needed 5.Good speech materials Those materials that appeal to the audiences will add success to your speech 6.Good interaction Language interaction, eye contact and body language are good ways to make you easily understood by your audiences Topic Two: How to deliver a speech? ★Acting(演) ①Dressing (from your hair style to dressing) Dressed in neat and easy. Dressed appropriately to the occasion. Don’t hide behind the lectern, wear hats, or chew gum. Whose speech do you want to listen to? ②Body shape ( from your standing posture to body language) Stand still for a moment and make eye contacts with your audience. Stay in one place for a while. Don’t keep moving around through the speech. Choose 2 or 3 places where you’ll take a step or two. ③Emotion (from your voice or tone to your face expression) You must speak loudly enough to be heard, clearly enough to be understood, and slowly enough for your audience to keep up. ★ Speaking(讲) Make your gesture naturally, as you would do when you talk with your friends. Free your hands as much as possible to “allow” that to occur.
