Case studyTransform Ltd ?has?been?an?established?competitor in the electronics industry for?the past decade. Until?recently,?it?has?provided?electronic?components?to?a?wide?range?of organisations, including?multi-national?businesses and other specialist firms. However,?this?part?of?the?business?has?suffered?due to?advances?within?the electronics?industry,?particularly?in?relation?to?e-commerce.?To?combat?this loss of business,?Transform?Ltd?has?identified?a?high?value?niche?market in?electronic components for?health?and?safety?equipment.Steven Barraclough, a PhD graduate from Oxford University, has led Transform Ltd for the past 6 years. Steven is undoubtedly the typical technology expert-full of innovative?ideas?which?have?proved?to?be?either?extremely?successful?or?complete failures.?He?has?led?the?company,?and?the?staff,?from?the?front,?whilst?giving?eachmember?of?staff?an?opportunity?to?put?forward?suggestions?on?how?things?could?beimproved.Steven?is?supported?by?the?following?well?established?and?highly?experiencedmanagement?team.Senior Managers : David Collins Jodie Jenkins Stefan Vetese Middle Managers: Christopher Phillips Patrick Reilly Meena Kumali Initially , meetings held within the organisation were well received as there was a great deal of participation and managers felt that their concerns were being considered.?Decisions?were?made?jointly?and?a?strong?collaborative?approach?had developed.
