Encourage them to talk about their vacation. Step2 Presentation Show some pictures of some national flag, ask them to guess which country it is. Learn the new words: Canada,France,Japan,the United States,Australia,Sinagore,the United Kingdom,China Show some national flage and aks them to tell the countries. Step3 Do exercise 1a Listen to the tape , and repeat the countries in 1a. Listen again and do 1b,circle the countries in 1a you hear. Listen and try to repeat . Step4 Practice pairwork 1c Practice the conversation . Ask students to make their own conversations according to the national flags. Step5 Homework Make similar dialogues with your classmates or friends . 教后反思及修改意见: 第二课时: Step1 Have a revision Look at some national flags,do you know the names of the countries? Step2 Presentation Show some pictures of famous cities and capitals,ask students to guess the names according to the pictures. Answers:Beijing,Tokyo,Paris,London,NewYork,Toronto,Sydney Pay attention to NewYork and Sydney,they are famous cities,not capitals. Do exercise 2a,complete the chart. Where are these cities? Check the answers. Step3 Listening practice Listen to the tape and do 2b. Listen and circle the cities and countries in 2a. Listen again and do 2c, complete the chart. Check the answers . Listen and try to repeat . Step3 Pairwork 2d Practice the conversation in 2c. Ask a pair of students to act out the dialogue like this : A: Where is John’s pen pal from? B: He’s from Japan.
