Itisindi⁃ cated that the structure of ultrahigh pressure cell must bepropitioustopressuretransmitting andbe ableto keep sealed. At the sametime,inordertomeettheneedsof staticequilibrium,thefinalworkstateoftheultrahighpressurecellmust be exactly symmetric,whiletheinitial statemight notbe symmetric. The “final⁃state symmetry” theory providesatheo⁃ retical basisfor the establishment of relationshipbetween carbideanvil andpyrophylliteblock sizeandthedesignof new ultrahigh pressure cell structure.
