plantedsomecornthatwetookdirectlyfromourpopcorncorn.Wehopethatitgrowswell(whichitis

doingnow)andthatwecancollectthecorninautumnsothatwecanmakepopcornwiththecornwe

havegrowninourclassroom.Childrenareveryexcitedthatwearegrowingourownfood!

Wehavealsoplantedsunflowerseedswithhopethatwecaneatthesunflowers(thoughit’snot

growingreallywellsofar),appleseeds(wehave5smallappletrees)andmandarinseeds(wehavealot

ofmandarinsmalltrees).

Wealsoplantedsome“roots”:asweetpotatoandsomeginger,wehopethatinafewmonthsthe

gingerwillhavegrownandthattherewillbeseveralsweetpotatoes.Weputsomecherryseedsinthesoil

buttheyhavenotcomeoutyet.Weareverykeenonputtinganykindofseedwecancollectrightnow.

It’sveryexcitingandfunforthechildrentorealizethatthevegetablesandfruitstheyeatcangrowinto

plants.

Fromnowonweobservethegrowthofourplantsandstartnamingthedifferentparts(leaf,flower…).

Wewilltrytomakesomerecordingofourdiscoveriesandobservationsinthenextcoupleonmonths!

这个月的我们班

这个月，我们继续对植物的研究，我们在教室里种植了很多。我们种植了一些玉米，那个本

来是用来做爆米花的。我们希望它能长得好，这样我们就能在秋天的时候收获玉米，然后我们就能用这些

自己种植的玉米来做爆米花。孩子们都特别兴奋能自己种植食物。
