Yueyang is located in the north of Hunan Province. It is well-known as “the Door of Northern Hunan”. It is close to the Yangtze River and embraces Dongting Lake. In the ancient times, Yueyang was always a gathering place for writers and scholars, and a bustling market for merchants. It has been listed successively as one of the first opening cities along the Yangtze River, national cultural and historical city, national tourism city, national sanitary city and national garden city. Yueyang Tower is very famous at home and abroad, Junshan Islet is famous for its beautiful scenery and so is the Miluo River for its profound culture.
