Introduction:

Lumbardischerniationisacommonconditionthataffectsthelowerback.Itoccurswhenthesoftcushioningmaterialinthediscsbetweenthevertebraeofthespineruptureorbulgeoutofplace,causingpain,numbness,andweaknessinthelowerback,hips,andlegs.Thisconditioncanalsocauseashiftinthelumbarcurvature,leadingtofurthercomplications.TraditionalChineseMedicine(TCM)hasbeenusedtotreatlumbardischerniation,withoneofthetechniquesbeingQian-Dunsqueezingreduction.

Objective:

TheprimaryobjectiveofthisstudyistoinvestigatetheeffectivenessoftheQian-Dunsqueezingreductiontechniqueinthetreatmentoflumbardischerniation.Thesecondaryobjectiveistoevaluateitsimpactonlumbarcurvatureandimprovetheoverallwell-beingofpatients.

Methods:

Thisstudywilladoptarandomizedcontrolledtrialdesign.100participantsdiagnosedwithlumbardischerniationwillberandomlyallocatedtoeitheracontrolorexperimentalgroup.Thecontrolgroupwillreceiveconventionaltreatment,whiletheexperimentalgroupwillreceiveQian-Dunsqueezingreductiontherapy.Thetreatmentwillbecarriedouttwiceaweekforfourweeks.Eachparticipantslumbarcurvaturewillbemeasuredusingananglerulerbeforeandaftertreatment.Additionally,theVisualAnalogueScale(VAS)willbeusedtomeasurepainintensityandtheOswestryDisabilityIndex(ODI)toevaluatefunctionalimpairmentbeforeandaftertreatment.

ExpectedResults:

TheQian-Dunsqueezingreductiontechniqueisexpectedtoreducepainandimprovetheoverallwell-beingofpatientswithlumbardischerniationcomparedtoconventionaltreatment.Additionally,itisexpectedtoimprovelumbarcurvature,leadingtobetterergonomicandfunctionaloutcomes.
