PAL system and its programming and decoding process
PAL is short for Phase Alternation Line (Line by Line). PAL is on chroma orthogonal modulation, on the basis of the balance will be one of the chrominance components (FV component) inverter line by line, in the beginning (line) periodically change FV component phase sequence, on the closed end USES the average measures, in order to reduce the effects of phase error in the transmission.
The significance of the phase distortion of 2.5.1 is affected
The image distortion of color TV sets has the brightness distortion, the saturation distortion and the tonal distortion (the geometric distortion is not discussed). Inaccurate color TV tuner, multipath effect and nonlinear of transmission system may cause phase distortion, practice has proved that to make the human feel tonal distortion, phase distortion should be less than + / - 5 °. The PAL system is developed to address the phase sensitivity.
