This article provides some information about domain names (especially top-level domains) in the domain name system (DNS)

Top-level domain structure
The computer named in the domain name system (DNS) USES a hierarchy of names. The root of the system is no name

(EDU, COM, ORG, GOV, MIT and INT), and the two-letter national code from the ISO 3166 standard
