Oscar Wilde  Oscar Wilde (1854-1900) His Father was Ireland’s leading eye and ear surgeon（外科医生） and his mother was a poet and author. He studied classics at Trinity College（三圣学院），and then go to Oxford University, where he distinguished himself as a classical scholar（学者） and poet. He won the Newdigate Prize(纽吉迪特奖) for poetry in 1878 . By the early 1880s, Wilde became particularly well known for his role in the aesthetic movement（唯美主义运动）.
