An examination of the names of three Buddhist writers in the Song Dynasty
A Chinese Appellation in the pre Qin era , namely road arts community culture and their scholars at home. The introduction of Buddhism Chinese, Buddhist appellation by Chinese translation of Buddhist scriptures they borrowed, not to become a Buddhist monk honorifics or donor. Since the Tang and Song Dynasty, Buddhist Buddhism is not exclusive, a lot of people claiming to lay in the career of taxi. The Song Dynasty is particularly strong. The scholars in the Song Dynasty called themselves lay men, but there were no more than 100 people under examination. The following are the three literati in the Song Dynasty who claimed to be lay Buddhist.
First, the oblique lay Buddhist
Su Guo (1072 - 1123), the Chinese character of the party, the number of oblique lay buddhist. He is the third son of Su Shi. Su Shis three sons were in the text, and is the most Su Guo Wencai. Su Shi once praised him writing very Jun Zhuang, a family (and volume seven veteran grandnephew, ibid). Su Zhe said that Su Shi was far in the sea without him, the accomplishment of the children can also (see the song written by Chao Yue Zhi Lang straight Meishan Su Shudang epitaph, history of the Song Dynasty the biography also used this material, the text is slightly different).
Su Zhi was a 50 year old hermit in Sichuan Province, but his Chi Chuan has a long history.
