In English teaching, grammar metaphor can not only increase students language expression ability, but also stimulate students creative thinking and learning interest. This paper explores the application of grammar metaphor in English teaching through literature review and case analysis, and summarizes the relevant teaching enlightenment. According to the research results, grammar metaphor can be used to help students understand English grammar structure, enrich their vocabulary, stimulate their imagination and improve their English expression ability. Therefore, in English teaching, we should actively guide students to master the usage of grammar metaphor and promote the development of their language expression and thinking ability.
