I. advantages and disadvantages of pneumatic technology:

2, air viscosity is small, flow resistance loss is small, easy to central gas supply and long-distance transportation.
3, pneumatic actuator, high speed.
4, pneumatic system is the ability to adapt to the environment, can work reliably in a wide temperature range, wet and dusty environments, a little leakage will not pollute the environment, there is no fire and explosion danger, safe use.
5. Simple structure, convenient maintenance and low cost.
6, pneumatic components long life, the current electromagnetic valve life of up to 3000~5000 times, cylinder life of up to 2000 ~ 6000km.
7, the overload protection performance of itself, the implementation of components will automatically stop during overload, without damage, when the power is not enough, will remain under the action of the load. Shortcoming:
1, because the gas can compress, make the moving speed stability of the working parts is poor.
2, because of the low working pressure, the output thrust of the pneumatic actuating element is smaller than the hydraulic pressure.
3, pneumatic signal transmission speed is far lower than the electrical signal, and the delay and distortion, should not be used for complex system of high speed signal transmission, pneumatic signal transmission distance is limited.
