Abstract: Y ttrium alum inum garnet (YAG) nano2p owders was synth esized by th e co2prec ip itation m ethod
through dropp ing A l(NO ) # 9H O and Y ( NO ) # 6H O solut ion into amm on ium hydrogen carbonate

solution. Three factors th at affect the synth esis of YAG nano2powders including th e moth er salt
con centration the species of organ ic solvents an d th e dropp ing sp eed s of th e m oth er sa lts solution were
ana lyzed an d d iscu ssed. The precursor s and th e YAG nan o2powderswere characterized by XRD and SEM.
