The businessman and the old manMany, many years ago a band of businessman were going from one town to another. They were going through a forest. Each of them had a bag of gold. One day they camped near a river. Suddenly a businessman came out of his tent and cried, “ Somebody has taken my gold. There are five people beside me. one of you has taken my gold!”But each of the five said, “ No, I have never taken any gold from any man.” So they had an argument. At this time, there came an old man who was on a white horse. He was a wise man. So the businessman told him that he had lost his gold and asked him for help. “All right,” said the old man, “Do you see my white horse? It is a very clever horse. It will help you to find the thief. I will put it into your tent. Each man will go into the tent, and shut the door of the tent and pull my horse’s tail. When the thief pulls its tail, it will neigh; when any other man pull its tail, it will not neigh.” The old man got off his horse and put his horse into the tent . after a while, the businessman came out of the tent and asked the five men to go in one by one and pull his horse’s tail.The first man went in. the horse did not neigh. Then another man went in, then another. The horse did not neigh. The last man went in. the horse did not neigh then,either. The old man said, “ Now everybody must come up to me.”The old man went up to the first man and put his face to the man’s hands. And he went up to he second man and did the same.
