Theresearchersfoundthatoverall,eatingnutsreducedtheriskofdeathfromheartdisease.Thiswasregardlessofgender,race,bodycondition,smoking,alcoholconsumptionandconditionssuchasdiabetes(糖尿病),highbloodpressureandobesity.

IntheUS,thehighestconsumptionresultedinariskreductionof21percent.IntheChinesegroup,itwas17percent.
