Nutr-i ents asm ethyldonors play essential roles in NA methylation and may modify cancer risk. This review, w ith an emphasis on the relationship between nutrition, NA methylation and cancer, firstly defines methylationw ith a description of its correlatedm echanism, then approaches themolecularmechanism of cancer initiation and development at themethylation level, and lastly summarizes themechanism underly- ing the effect ofmethylation-related nutrients on the process of cancer initiation and development at the molecular leve.l It also offers some suggestions on cancer prevention at the group nutrition level.
