LiteratureReview:
Self-efficacyisacriticaldeterminantofachievementinlanguagelearningthatinfluenceslearners’choices,effort,perseverance,andoverallperformance.AccordingtoBandura’sSocialCognitiveTheory,self-efficacybeliefscanbestrengthenedthroughmodeling,feedback,andsuccessfulexperiences.
Orallanguagelearningstrategiesaretechniquesusedbylearnerstoenhancetheirspeakingskills.Thesestrategiesincludeparaphrasing,summarizing,elaborating,questioning,monitoring,andself-talkamongothers.Severalstudieshaveestablishedapositivecorrelationbetweentheuseoforallanguagelearningstrategiesandlanguageproficiency.
Methodology:
Thestudywilluseasurveyresearchdesign.TheparticipantswillbeEnglishmajorstudentsatauniversityinChinawhoarecurrentlyenrolledinspokenEnglishcourses.Aself-administeredquestionnairewillbeusedtocollectdataonstudent
