This paper describes the responsibilities and methods for the collision avoidance between the vessels in fog. It sums up the causes of the collisions happened in fog and puts out some methods and precautions for preventing this kind of collision by analyzing the collision accidents in fog. This paper also pointed out how to prevent the basis of collision accidents. It analysiss and indicates the methods of multi-ship collision avoidance. It also instructs the importance to use ECDIS in ship ’ s collision avoidance in fog in future.
