Teaching difficulties: (Anticipated difficulties) The different using between “like” and “likes” might obstruct students. They might get confused in when to use “like” and when to use “likes”. And also it’s difficult to tell “don’t like” and “doesn’t like”. Another teaching difficulty is the differences between countable nouns and uncountable nouns. Teaching aids: PPT, a survey form that students can use to discuss what their deskmates like and dislike. Some real fruit if it’s necessary or easy to get ready. Learning and teaching arrangement: Stages / timing Students’ Teacher’s Warming-up (3 mins) 1. Greeting. 2. Free talking: Discuss what we should do for the earthquake in Sichuan and what people in Wenchuan need now. 3. Say the words that they’ve learned before, including food, drinks and fruits. 1.
