At the end of the Ming Dynasty, Zheng Chenggong, a national hero, expelled the Holland invaders and recovered the island of Taiwan. In 1683, the government of the Qing Dynasty unified Taiwan, built Taiwan province. In 1894, Japan launched the Sino Japanese War (War), April 17, 1895, the corrupt and incompetent Qing government and Japan signed a Treaty of Shim
