教材内容分析:
本话题介绍了房屋内房间的类型、位置、家用物品的名称、摆放位置等。本话题通过在A、B、C、D四个Section 中贯穿“There be ”句型、方位介词in/on/behind/under/near/next to/in front of/in the center of/on the left/at the back of等语言项目使学生学会准确描述某处有某物。
学情分析:
本单元从学生的日常生活出发,让学生学会介绍自己的居家布置及居住环境。能读懂介绍房屋、屋内设施、方位、社区环境和交通规则的短文。
教学目标:
Teaching aims and demands:
1. Learn the rooms in homes:
bedroom, kitchen,dining room, living room, bathroom
2. (1)Learn phrasal prepositions of position:
There’s a study in the house.
There is a bathroom next to the diningroom.
(2)Learn how to use the sentences of “there be”:
Is there a computer in your study ?
Yes, there is.
Are there any bedrooms on the first floor?
No, there aren’t.
There are so many nice books on the shelf.

Step 1 Review
1. Play chain games. One student performs an action and another student guesses what he /she is doing.
For example:
S1: What am I doing? ( perform the action of watching TV )
S2: You are watching TV.
What am I doing? ( perform the action of swimming )
S3: You are swimming.
What am I doing? ( perform the action of studying )
S4: You are studying.
…
T: You are right.
T: Where’s he/she?
He/She is in the study.
2. Show a picture a house. Say and teach this sentence:
There’s a study in the house.
Example:
T: What’s he/she doing?
S1: He/She is cooking.
S2: He/She is reading.
S3: He/She is sleeping. ...
T: Good. Where’s he/she?
Teach : bedroom,kitchen,dining room, living room, bathroom
T: Where are the bedrooms?
S:They’re on the second floor .
T:Where’s the study? (教师指着图片上的书房。)
S:It’s next to the bedroom.
