General information about how foundation training is organised in Health Education Yorkshire and the Humber (HEYH)
Allocation process
School Based on applicant scores from the national application process and the expressed order of preference of rotation; The Yorkshire the Humber Deanery allocates all foundation doctors to the first year of their two year rotation prior to the start of the Foundation Programme.
The process for allocation into F2 is via a computerised matching process. This process commences part way into Foundation Year 1 and gives the Trainees another opportunity to rank their preferences from available rotations within the School. Key school personnel

Teaching information
The Foundation Year 1 posts at Leeds consist of three attachments which aim to provide a broad range of clinical experience appropriate to foundation training. Learning on the job is supported by a wide variety of educational activities, including protected time teaching, training days and clinical meetings.
