1.0 Common Risk Management Strategies
Risk Management
Risk Management in organisations is concerned with:
the impact certain risks have on organisational performance.
devising alternative strategies for controlling risks.
Risk management is a process that involves risk identification. This is achieved by the use of
techniques such as:
inspections,
discussions,
job safety analysis,
safety audits,
HAZOP studies etc.
The idea behind this is that by using a variety of techniques all the risks for the organisation are
identified. It is only by identifying the risks that something can be done to control them.
