D. Deficiency of both Qi and Blood Main symptoms: Vertigo and blurred vision, which are aggravated by exertion and induced by over fatigue. Tongue and Pulse: Pale tongue with thin and white coating, and thready and weak pulse. Therapeutic method: Tonifying qi and blood, and strengthening the spleen and stomach Prescription: Gui Pi Tang (归脾汤) Formula: HuangQi(黄芪) 12 g, DangGui(当归) 10 g, Dang Shen(丹参) 12 g, Bai Zhu(白术) 10 g, Fu Shen(茯神) 10 g, Shu Di(熟地) 12 g, Long Yan Rou(龙眼肉) 10 g, Zao Ren(枣仁) 10 g, Yuan Zhi(远志) 12 g, Mu Xiang(木香) 9 g, Gan Cao(甘草) 6 g. E. Yin Deficiency of Liver and Kidney Main symptoms: Protracted vertigo. Tongue and Pulse: Red tongue with thin coating, and wiry and thready pulse. Therapeutic method: To nourish the liver and kidney, and replenish kidney essence. Prescription: Zuo Gui Wan(左归丸) Formula: Shu Di(熟地) 12 g, Shan Yu Rou(山萸肉) 12 g, Shan Yao(山药) 12 g, Gou Qi Zi(枸杞子) 12 g, Tu Si Zi(菟丝子) 12 g, Niu Xi(牛膝) 10 g, Gui Ban Jiao(龟板胶) 10 g, Suan Zao Ren(酸枣仁) 12 g, E Jiao(阿胶)(to be melted) 10 g. F. Retention of Blood Stasis in the Orifices Main symptoms: Vertigo and headache. Tongue and Pulse: Petechiae or ecchymosis on the tongue, wiry and choppy pulse or thready and choppy pulse. Therapeutic method: To remove stasis and promote regeneration, dredge orifices and activate the collaterals. Prescription: Tong Qiao Huo Xue Tang.(通窍活血汤) Formula: Chi Shao(赤芍) 10 g, Chuan Xiong(川芎) 10 g, Tao Ren(桃仁) 10 g, Hong Hua(红花) 10 g, Bai Zhi(白芷) 10 g, Chang Pu(川朴) 10 g, Dang Gui(当归) 10 g, Di Long(地龙) 10 g, Quan Xie(全蝎) 9 g. Transformation and Prognosis Prognosis: Depend on the original disease. Mild vertigo is good if the patient obtains proper treatment.
