Dynamical Simulation of Planetary Gear Drive System Based on UG and ADAMS

Abstract :The virtual prototype of the planetary gear drive system ,which was the output mechanism of the reducer ,was built
with 3D solid modeling software UG. By using UG and ADAMS ,the virtual prototype was imported into ADAMS to build the simula-
tion model. There was not only rolling contact but also sliding contact between gear teeth ,so there was a great sliding friction. Aiming
at the shortcoming of friction between tooth surfaces was not considered in the general equation of tooth surface contact fatigue strength
based on Hertz theory ,the friction coefficient was introduced into the equation for simulation analysis. The contact fo
