商品说明书的翻译 导言：商品说明书（Instruction，Direction，Description），也称之为“产品说明书”或“使用说明书”（Operating Manual），是厂商为销售其产品而制作的一种关于该产品的宣传小册子。商品说明书主要是关于相关商品的构造、性能、规格、用途、使用方法、维修保养等方面的文字说明。本节课我们将简要的介绍下英文商务说明书的语篇结构和语言特征和及其英文商务说明书的翻译策略，进而说明翻译英文商务说明书的应遵循的基本原则。 商务说明书的语篇结构 根据商品在性能、用途等方面的不同，英文商品说明书的结构形式也会有所不同。通常商品说明书由标题（包括副标题）和正文两个部分组成。 商务说明书的标题（Headline） 商品说明书的标题可以大致分为直接性标题（Direct Headline）和间接性标题（Indirect Headline）两个类别。前者直接表明是对何种产品的说明或者是何种产品的使用手册。例如： HITACHI TWIN-TUB WAHSING MACHINE Operation Manual 而间接性标题并不直接说明是何种产品的说明书。例如： For Pain Usual Adult Dose： 2 or 3 tablets four times daily；for children under twelve，consult a physician. KEEP TIGHTLY COLSED. AVOID EXPOSURE TO LIGHT. 该例采用了间接性标题，其标题没有述及具体的商品名称。 部分商品说明书除了正标题之外，还另外附有副标题（Sub-headline）。副标题通常是正标题之具体内容，为客户提供更详细或明确的信息，以引起客户的兴趣和注意力。例如： HERICIUM ERINACEUS TABLETS ——A good remedy for gastropathy （2） 商品说明书的正文（Body）。 商品说明书的正文是其核心部分，其不可缺少的成分包括：产品的适用范围、使用方法及注意事项等，对于机械、电器类产品来说，一般还包括安装和维修方法。英文商品说明书通常采取两种模式：其一为开门见山式（Come-to-Point Style），即直接陈列所要说明的事项或方面；另一种为引言式（Introductory Style），或称概述式，即先对商品作一般性的介绍，然后列出所需说明的具体方面。看下面的例子： Konica Color SR-V 100 Daylight Type，For Color Prints Avoid direct sunlight while loading and unloading film.
