recognize vt. “认识到,认清;辨认出“
recognize sb/ sth (by sth) Eg) I recognized her by her red hat.

2.Whatever you’re doing when you want to smoke –do something else!
★whatever“任何事物;一切事物”,可用作连接代词,引导名词性从句或让步状语从句。引导名词性从句时相当于anything that…;引导让步状语从句时相当于no matter what… Eg) I don’t believe whatever he said.
I’ll stand by you whatever [=no matter what] happens.
★else 与不定代词、疑问代词或否定代词或副词连用,并放于其后。
Eg) That must be somebody else’s coat.
3.Make a list of friends who smoke and places where you smoke.
★make a list of “列…清单”a list of“一系列的”
★who和where 引导定语从句修饰先行词friends和places
Eg) He showed us around the village where he spent his childhood.
4. Breathe in slowly and deeply.
