First, the basic elements of the thread
(1) thread shape;
On the cross section of the thread axis, the outline shape of the thread is called the thread shape. It has triangle, trapezoid, zigzag and rectangle. Different thread shapes have different uses.
(2) thread diameter;
The big diameter (nominal diameter) is the maximum diameter of the thread, that is, the diameter of the imaginary cylindrical surface that coincides with the outer or inner thread of the outer thread, and is expressed by D (external thread) or D (internal thread).
The path is the smallest diameter of the thread, that is, the diameter of the imaginary cylindrical surface that coincides with the bottom of the outer thread or the inside of the internal thread. It is called the path, and is represented by D1 (external thread) or D1 (internal thread).
The middle diameter has an imaginary cylinder between the big diameter and the small diameter cylindrical surface, and the width of the tooth shaped groove and the width of the bulge are equal on the bus. The imaginary cylinder is called a middle diameter cylinder, and its diameter is called the middle diameter. It is one of the main parameters to control the thread precision.
(3) the number of threads (n) with a single thread (commonly used) and multi line, thread formed along a helical line for single thread; thread formed along the axial direction of uniform distribution of two or more than two helix for multiple thread.
(4) the distance between the pitch (P) and the lead (Ph) thread adjacent to the two teeth at the middle diameter line corresponds to the two points, which is called pitch.
