The young man left tenniers office and he was pleasantly surprised that what he had just heard was so simple and clear. It does make sense, he thought. if you and your subordinates dont understand their responsibilities, how can you be an effective manager? These methods do work.
The young man walked down the corridor and took the lift down to the second floor. As he stepped into Mr. Levys office, he was surprised to find that he was so young that he was probably in his early thirties. Well, have you seen the old man? He has a character, doesnt he?
Now the young man was used to the manager of a minute, and he replied, its very characteristic.
Did he tell you he was a minute manager? Levy said.
Thats what he told me. Isnt that true? The young man said, hoping for a different answer.
Youd better believe him. I rarely see him.
You mean you never got his help? The young man asked.
Its very rare, he said. it takes him to spend time with me at the beginning of a new assignment.
