ABSTRACT

Withtheaccelerationofglobalizationandtheflourishingdevelopmentofthe

sportsindustry,sportsnewsreportinghasbecomeanimportantbridgeconnecting

audiencesfromallovertheworld.ThisstudyfocusesonEnglishexpressionskillsin

sportsnewsreporting,aimingtoexplorehowtoenhancetheattractivenessand

disseminationeffectofreportsthroughprecisevocabularyselection,diversesentence

structures,andrichrhetoricaldevices.Throughin-depthanalysisofsportsnews

reportingcasesathomeandabroad,thestudyfoundthattheclevercombinationof

professionalvocabularyandvividvocabularycanaccuratelyconveygame

informationandstimulatereadersinterest;Thediversityandflexibilityofsentence

structureshelpcontrolthepaceofreportingandguidereaderstogainadeeper

understanding;Theuseofrhetoricaldevicessuchasmetaphor,exaggeration,and

personificationfurtherenhancestheliteraryandinfectiouspowerofthereport.In

addition,thestudyalsoproposedaseriesofstrategicsuggestionstoimprovethe

Englishexpressionskillsofsportsnewsreporting,includingstrengtheningthe

learningofEnglishbasicknowledge,emphasizingpracticeandaccumulation,and

constantlyinnovatingandtrying.Thesesuggestionsaimtoprovidepracticalguidance
