ABSTRACT

Withtheaccelerationofglobalizationandtheflourishingdevelopmentofthesportsindustry,sportsnewsreportinghasbecomeanimportantbridgeconnectingaudiencesfromallovertheworld.ThisstudyfocusesonEnglishexpressionskillsinsportsnewsreporting,aimingtoexplorehowtoenhancetheattractivenessanddisseminationeffectofreportsthroughprecisevocabularyselection,diversesentencestructures,andrichrhetoricaldevices.Throughin-depthanalysisofsportsnewsreportingcasesathomeandabroad,thestudyfoundthattheclevercombinationofprofessionalvocabularyandvividvocabularycanaccuratelyconveygameinformationandstimulatereadersinterest;Thediversityandflexibilityofsentencestructureshelpcontrolthepaceofreportingandguidereaderstogainadeeperunderstanding;Theuseofrhetoricaldevicessuchasmetaphor,exaggeration,andpersonificationfurtherenhancestheliteraryandinfectiouspowerofthereport.Inaddition,thestudyalsoproposedaseriesofstrategicsuggestionstoimprovetheEnglishexpressionskillsofsportsnewsreporting,includingstrengtheningthelearningofEnglishbasicknowledge,emphasizingpracticeandaccumulation,andconstantlyinnovatingandtrying.Thesesuggestionsaimtoprovidepracticalguidanceforsportsnewspractitioners,helpingthemcreatemoreinfluentialandattractivereportingworks.
