To improve students’ reading skills Teaching aims(教学目标): To guide students make a summary about some reading strategies. To improve their reading skills. (引导学生概括阅读策略,提高学生阅读技巧) Teaching procedures(教学过程): Step one Lead-in Play the game Simon Says Step two Presentation Discuss what we can do before reading(讨论读前可以做什么), what we can do while reading(读中做什么)and what we can do after reading(读后做什么) T: Boys and girls, we all know that reading is important. Today we are going to improve reading skill. What can we do before reading, while reading and after reading?Discuss with your partner. Students speak out their strategies one by one. Step three Practice Finish the tasks in groups(小组完成作业) Rules Several students a group, find the answers. Why? Where? You are supposed to answer the questions as soon as you finish, only TOP 4 can get the chances to show your answers. If you are wrong, your partners are expected to correct. (几名同学一组,一起找答案。你应该尽可能快地完成任务,只有前四名同学有机会说出你们的答案。如果你错了,你的学师可以改正) 第一轮 抢椅子 You need to run as fast as you can, only the students who sit on the chair can get the chance to answer.(你需要跑来抢椅子,只有坐在椅子上的人才可以回答问题) T: After I say “Ready, go”, you can run to sit on the chair. And you are required to speak out the answer at the same time. (Finish the whole passage in this way.) 第二轮 比比谁做得好 Students are encouraged to write their answers on the blackboard as soon as they finish the task, others need to judge if they are right.(学生完成任务后立即到黑板上写下对应的答案,其他同学判断是否正确) T: As soon as you finish the tasks, you can write down your answers on the blackboard. And other students can judge. 第三轮 你做我评 Students who are required to answer questions can answer only while others judge and correct.(指定的同学说答案,其他同学评判改正) What can we learn from the passage? T: Students in this part answer questions while others are required to say if they are right or not. Then exchange. Step four Homework Discuss with your partner what we have learned in this class.
