The rapid urbanization of cities in modern times poses a great threat to the existence of some animals. Along with the loss of the natural habitats, man-made activities add fuel to the flames, accelerating the rate at which species disappear. In this unit, endangered animals in America and other countries will be introduced. Students will get to know the current situation of some animal species through reading, listening and viewing. Various activities will inspire students to talk about human’s impact on nature by using the wordsand expressions in this unit.
