That means each of them is important. You can’t say that you have mastered the language without any one of them. Listening, one of the means of language communication, is used most widely in people’s daily lives. Speaking can’t be taught separately. It’s often connected with listening. So we often speak of listening and speaking. Reading is an important way of gaining information in foreign language learning, it’s a basic skill for a foreign language learner. Writing is one way of providing variety in classroom procedures. It provides a student with physical evidence of his achievements and becomes a course whereby he can measure his improvement. It helps to consolidate the students’ grasp of vocabulary and structure, and complements the other language skills. Keywords: listening, speaking, reading and writing 摘要: 老师们经常提到四项技能: 听、说、读、写。这意味着他们的每一项都很重要, 除去它们的任何一个你都不能说你已掌握了这门语言。听:语言交流的一个重要点,是人类日常生活中运用最广泛的。说:不能独立分开,它和听常常密切相关。所以我们经常听和说。 读: 学习外语获得信息的一个重要途径, 它是外语初学者的一项基础技能。写: 在教学过程中提供多样性,它向学生提供成功的证据并且写作成为一门课程,写作能提高学生水平, 它有助于巩固学生的关键词和结构能力,并且对其他语言技能进行一个补充。 关键词:听、说、读、写。 Ⅰ.Introduction The purpose of English teaching is to improve the students’ four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing, with the base of necessary phonetics, large vocabulary and good grammar, but this is not the final purpose.
