This work is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution International License (CC BY). /licenses/by/4.0/ Abstract It summarized indirect and direct identification methods of grape chromosome ploidy, and eva- luated that the ploidy identification should be rough. In the early stage, we have to use the simple appraisal method with less destruction. Then, we should use the accurate method to do compre- hensive appraisal, adopting different means for grape ploidy from different sources. Determining the grape ploidy accurately can serve for grape breeding practice.
