Niu xiaolong Abstract China and Britain has had a long history, in which the long river of history, name, as a unique and ancient carriers of cultures, has been kept for thousands of years. Chinese and English names are full of extremely rich cultural and historical connotations, and result in cultural gap between Chinese and English. Personal names are not only symbols that distinguish one person from others, but also social symbols. It is “a mirror of culture”. As the name needs language to help to mark, and
