Abstract Background: This study investigates bradykinin and nitric oxide as potential mediators of AT2- receptor-stimulated duodenal mucosal alkaline secretion. Duodenal mucosal alkaline secretion was measured in methohexital- and α-chloralose-anaesthetised rats by means of in situ pH-stat titration.
