AbstractABSTRACT Abstract ABSTRACT The ionosphere is non-linear response system.Different kinds of input wil trigger different final perturbations.The ionosphere F region is one of the most important region in the ionosphere.The night-time irregularities in this region can affect nearly all—frequency radio waves propagation through them Ionospheric scintillation can be observated frequently in low-latitude of China,SO it is very important to know the physical mechanism of night-time F region plasma instability and irregularities in it It is necessary to study the movement of the ionospheric irregularities through many different methods which is very important for the production of the ionospheric irregularities In this thesis,three Ionospheric Scintillation Monitors(ISM)are installed in Haikou,Hainan Province ofthe ER.ofchina,which locations are separated about hundred meters apart,the drilt velocity of ionospheric irregularitie be deduced by analyze the cross·correlation of scintillation signals at three monitors to determine the drift time between monitors.The measured result consistent with that Of DPS.4 which is obviously that ionospheric transmeridional drift is east in nighttime,and ionospheric meridional drift is south.The mearement has very high prec ision and temporal resolution,it is also useful with the periodic disturbance Key words:low·latitude ionosphere F’ionospheric scintillation,ionospheric drift Cross.correlation 第一章绪论第一章绪论 第一章绪论 第一章绪论 本章介绍电离层闪烁的研究背景和意义以及研究历史和现状,并说明本文的 安排及主要工作。 1.1电离层闪烁的研究背景和意义 1.1.1空间天气学及其研究意义 自1957年人造卫星上天,人类进入空间时代。空间科学近50年的发展,最 重大的成就之一是使人们认识到地球除了固体、海洋和大气环境外,还存在与人 类的生存发展息息相关的空间环境。 在这个由太阳大气、行星际空间、地球磁层、电离层和中高层大气所组成的 日地空间环境中,常常出现非常恶劣的条件或状态,给地面、空间技术系统的运 行、可靠性、以及人类健康和生命带来严重危害,人们把这种由太阳活动引起的、 高度动态的、短时间尺度的空间环境变化,称之为空间天气(Space Weather)。 空间天气研究是当代可望取得重大原创性新成就的基础科学前沿和重大交叉 领域之一。空问天气研究要求把不同空间区域中的过程作为一个因果链进行首尾 相联的整体性、系统性研究,它成为全世界众多基础科学领域共同面临挑战的重 大前沿难题之一。无论从已实施的国际日地物理计划(ISTP)、日地能量汁划(STEP) 还是将要实施的”与星同在”(Living With Star)、”日地系统空间气候与天气计划 ”(Climat
