Step 2 Revise the letters and the letter words A—M Step 3 Teach the word “notebook” Show out a notebook, and ask “What’s this?”, get the students to say “It’s a notebook.” Guide them to remember the word by dividing it into note and book. Step 4 Teach the word “pencil case” Show out a pencil case, and ask, “What’s this?” teacher says pencil case three times. Air draw the thing. Step 5 Teach the words of “snake” and “butterfly” Use the hands to do the shape of a snake, let them guess. Pay attention to the last sound “k”. Use the same method to teach butterfly. Step6 Teach the conversation Before opening the book, put the picture card of Gogo in front of your face. T: Hello, (S1’s name). I’m Gogo. How are you? (S1: I’m fine, thanks.) Help S1 respond appropriately. Point to the picture of Peter on the page. T: Who’s this? Let’s listen to the tape. Play the tape one time and ask Ss again who they think Peter is.
