I.OriginofHanfu

TheoriginofHanfucanbetracedbacktotheWesternZhouDynasty(1046BC-771BC).Atthattime,theHanfuwasmainlywornbythenobilityandofficials.Withthedevelopmentofhistory,thestyleanddesignofHanfuhaveevolvedandbecomemorediverse.TheHanfuoftheWarringStatesPeriod(475BC-221BC)wascharacterizedbyitssimplicityandelegance,whiletheHanfuoftheHanDynasty(206BC-220AD)wasmoreluxuriousandornate.ThroughoutthehistoryofChina,theHanfuhasbeentherepresentativeofthehighestlevelofChinesefashionandaesthetics.

II.CharacteristicsofHanfu

1.CutandFit

Hanfuhasauniquecutandfit,whichemphasizestheharmonybetweenhumanbodyandclothing.Theclothingisdividedintotwomainparts:theuppergarmentandthelowergarment.Theuppergarmentcanbedividedintoseveraltypes,suchastherobe,thetunic,andthejacket.Thelowergarmentismainlythetrousers,whicharedividedintowide-legtrousersandnarrow-legtrousers.ThecutandfitofHanfuareveryflexible,whichcanbeadjustedaccordingtothebodyshapeofthewearer.
