Abstrac:tTostudythebehaviorofrectangularsteeltubularjointswithchordconcrete-insid,ethetestsof4 specimens
ofconcretefilledrectangularsteeltube(CFRST)X-jointsand1 specmiensofhollowrectangularsteeltube(HRST)
werecarriedoutundertensionandbendingloadingcondition,srespectively.Themainexpermientalparametersstudied
werethewidthratioofbranchtubeandchordtubeandtheratioofwidthandthicknessofchordtubeγ.Testresults
showedthatfilled-inconcreteofchordtubecanimprovethemechanicalbehavio,renhancetherigidityandbearing
capacityofthejoint.sSimilartotheHRSTjoint,stheparametersofandγarethemainfactorswhichinfluencesthe
behavio,randthebearingcapacityandrigidityofCFRSTjointsbecomelargerforalargerandsmallerγ.Duetothe
restrictionoffilled-inconcretetothewebofchordtub,ethefailuremodeofCFRSTjointsaredifferentcomparedwith
theHRSTjoint.sThebearingcapacityformulaarerecommendedfortheCFRSTjointsaccordingtothefailuremode.
