Abstract Abstract Since entering the new century, china has surpassed the United States for the first time in 2002, to become the one country that absorbing FDI most in the world, while the first among developing countries for 20 years. today, china is one of the worlds most attractive destinations. It is undeniable that china has attained so many great achievements without FDI since the reform and opening up, not only successfully exceeded Japan to become the worlds second-largest economy, but also has achieved a lot of good results in other areas, such as politics, science and technology. However, with the profound changes of the economic system and constantly opening up of capital market in china, FDI has shown new trends and imposed passive impacts on the industry’s development, which makes a threat to security of industry. Under the background of all over the world paying more attentions on safety of national economy, the problem of industrial security becomes more outstanding. Based on the domestic and foreign scholars’ research about FDI affect a countrys industrial security, this paper analyze the development and changes of FDI in china in recent years, and combined with the related research, creatively put forward three mechanism of the FDI affect a countrys industrial security: market mechanism, distribution and flow mechanism, social and culture mechanism. Then, this paper use a large number of real data and cases to discusses the impacts of FDI on china’s industrial security from five aspects, which are the power of industry, industrial structure, industrial environment, industrial sustainability and culture.
